A new graphics card!
September 12th, 2007I recently bought a new graphics card. It was an XFX GeForce 8800GTS 640MB.
Included in the box was the driver cd, a game(Lost Planet: Extreme Condition),
S-video cable(or something), a vga-dvi adapter and of course the card itself.
Now.
A friend of mine bought an identical card some weeks before. Same manufacturer and everything.
In his box, the game was missing. How is that possible,
short of someone taking the game out of the box after it left the production line?
Also, he had some problems with the delivery. I had none of these problems,
and the only difference is that we bought the card from different shops. So if you’re from norway, please don’t buy from amentio.no.
I always buy from komplett.no I’ve never had ANY problems with them.
Anyway, this card is phenomenal. I used to have an Radeon X1800GTO 256MB,
and it really shows that more memory and the extra processing power is a leap in frames.
Also, games looks sweet in 16X (QS?)AA & AF!
The only things you need to think about is you’re power supply (I recommend 700W)
and that you’re tower cools things down efficiently.
Oh, and a PCI-E slot and at least one slot free below it.
